The College of Maritime Studies was established in June 1995. the offering of maritime courses, Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation and Bachelor in Marine Engineering at West Negros University was envisioned tom have her share in providing opportunities for students desirous to become seafarers. Her maiden voyage carried four hundred seventy nine (479) deck and engine cadets and 2 female students. The influx of the students on the first year of operation was a manifestation of the trust and confidence of Negrense community on the future of their children with West Negros University as provider of maritime education.
